Preventative maintenance is a vital part of industry today
We provide a regular coating inspection, test and repair service covering a wide range of tanks and vessels including road tanker barrels. A full coating inspection can be carried out either on site or at our Kellington premises.
Tanks should be received in a clean, dry condition and entry will only take place if a valid cleanout certificate has been issued. Where possible all connections should be disconnected to ensure the flange faces are accessible for inspection.
The surface of the internal lining will be marked out with chalk to form a grid with each square approximately 0.5 metres. Each square will then be thickness checked and the lowest reading written in the square.
The squares will then be spark tested and any holidays found will be marked up. If no sparks are found the square will be marked with a tick. At the end of the inspection each square will have the thickness reading marked up and either a tick or a notification of the number of holidays.
An inspection sheet showing the findings of the inspection and any repair recommendation will be prepared. Work arising from this inspection will be priced separately and advised to the client along with a copy of the inspection sheet.
